What can you do to help speed up the recovery process, and get soothing and natural relief? Here’s a super quick “DIY” postpartum pad to get you on the road to recovery!! 😃😍😘
Keeping it Simple!
Here we are a big fan of keeping everything as simple as possible! Why complicate things when the simple solution is right in front of you?? Well, these homemade postpartum pads are as simple but as effective as they come! Soothing, Natural and Healing!
What you will need !! (makes 20)
- 20 overnight maxi pads
- 1 cup witch hazel
- 1 cup 100% aloe vera gel
- 20 drops lavender essential oil
Aloe vera is well known for it’s antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, moisturizing, and regenerative properties, making it an essential to postpartum healing.
Lavender Essential Oil is soothing and smells wonderful.
- Mix all ingredients in a medium sized bowl.
- Unwrap each pad, but keep the wrapper.
- Spread 2-4 tablespoons over each pad.
- Fold pad up and re-wrap.
- Wrap in aluminum foil and place in a freezer bag.
IMPORTANT: Before placing the frozen pad on, unwrap and let thaw for 5 minutes.
